Wait for an ‘88. GM always gets the car right just before they cancel it.

Reassembly of the Volvo parts 14-20 that culminate in me having the car running long enough to take it to my new garage 100 miles away .

I have a Chevy Cruze v Ford Fusion comparison review that I could never get to make good in the drafts folder that might have been controversial by me basically saying smaller is better by a scale of quality divided by area. Other than that, I may soon own an Exciting™ car! Shhhh!

The 88 wasn’t great, but it was better than the previous years.

As I recall both the front and rear suspension were finally properly designed rather than x car and Chevette parts.

You are correct. The car was improved with the new suspension. Truth be told, it wasn’t hard to improve upon. I bought a Fiero Formula new in 1988, so I speak from my own experience with the car. I firmly believe that my winter beater Omni GLH handled better than the Fiero.

Small world. I owned two of them. First without AC. Then with. I bought the first in ‘86. It was kind of a crazy car. The seats fell apart, the wheel bearings failed in a single autocrosse, the shifter went to junk,it lost a rocker arm, broke two door handles and wore out a transmission. Whatever my red GLH was, it was not a Honda..... The 84 Citation X-11 that replaced it was a far better car.

I only had the GLH for one winter, then sold it to a friend. All my winter beaters were sold after one winter. The only issue my GLH had was an in- op fuel gauge.
I have no personal experience with an X-11, but a friend’s mom had a Citation that was a total POS. When the X-11 came out, I thought it was a good looking car, and maybe a decent performer.
